    Hit-and-Run Vehicle Kills Pedestrian

    A hit-and-run vehicle kills a female pedestrian at South Nellis Boulevard and East Twain Avenue. She was taken to a hospital where she died.

    (Las Vegas, Nevada) A hit-and-run vehicle kills a female pedestrian at South Nellis Boulevard and East Twain Avenue. 

    The collision occurred on August 23 at around 9:15 a.m. when a pedestrian was crossing over Nellis Boulevard in or near the marked crosswalk. A gray sedan was driving northbound on Nellis Boulevard, approaching Twain Avenue using the middle lane of (T2). When the vehicle was going through the intersection, the driver hit the pedestrian which led her rest forward onto the road.  The vehicle left the scene immediately. 

    The Medical Personnel arrived at the scene and took the female to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center’s Trauma where she was pronounced dead by medical staff, according to the Clark County Office of the Coroner/ Medical Examiner.

    The LVMPD were able to locate the gray sedan vehicle but could not find the driver. They are currently looking for the suspect. 

    Analysis on Nellis Boulevard and East Twain Avenue:

    Investigators of this collision may view NRS 484E.010. This law discusses the requirements in staying on scene after getting involved in a vehicle crash that caused a bodily injury or death.

    Investigators may also review NRS 484E.030 as It is also required to fulfill if involved in this case under NRS 484E.010. This law discusses the following violations if (1) of this code is not followed. If one fails to follow the requirements, they may be guilty of category B felony NRS 484E.030 (3). They should also be punished with imprisonment in state prison for at least two years with the maximum of 20 years. One can also be fined $2,000 to $5,000 dollars.
