(Las Vegas, Nevada) Friday Morning a hit-and-run multi-vehicle crash occurred on 1-15 southbound with five injuries and a diesel spill after the emergency vehicles were striked.
Nevada Highway Patrol had received an initial report on a three vehicle crash that happened near southbound 1-15 marker 7, north of the California border. The crash was a hit-and-run case.
When emergency vehicles came to the scene they were investigating and secured the scene when another hit and run vehicle struck a Clark County Fire department Ambulance, a fire truck and a Chevy vehicle.
The driver did not stop and left the scene. The driver and vehicle are still missing after the Las Vegas Metropolitan department and California Highway Patrol were in search of the individual.
The five injuries occurred on the second collision and were taken to a local hospital. One passenger had to be airlifted due to its critical injuries. After the second collision, a diesel spill occurred after the vehicle hit the Clark County Fire Department ambulance.

Investigators may want to take a look at NRS 484E.010-Duty to stop at scene of crash involving death or personal injury; penalty and NRS 484B.603 Duty of driver to decrease speed under certain circumstances; additional penalty for violation committed in certain zones. This is an important law in this story because it goes into details of what is a violation if you do not stop at the scene of a vehicle crash that involves another person’s injury or death. (1) of this section states that any driver involved in a crash in a highway or premises that is a public access has to stay on the scene and fulfill section 484E.030.
If this law does not get fulfilled is guilty of category B felony and should be published by imprisonment in a state prison for at least two years and a maximum term of 20 years. A fine of at least 2,000 dollars to 5,000. If you cause a bodily injury or death there is a separate offense under this section.
In regards to speed, the second driver may have sped with one of the vehicles in spilling diesel. Under NRS 484B.603. It states one of the followings that speed should be decreased to avoid colliding with a person, and to carefully drive around other vehicles, people and other things using or entering a road.
