(Antelope Valley, California) On Tuesday Morning, a two vehicle crash occurred at the Lake Los Angeles Area of Antelope Valley near Palmdale killing one person.

According to the CHP, the collision was first reported at about 1am on the intersection of 240th Street East and East Avenue P.

The CHP confirmed that one person was pronounced dead at the scene, now identified as 53-year-old, Guadalupe Rubio.

Legal Analysis on the Antelope Valley Vehicle Crash

Because there is little information about the fatal collision, we can only assume based on what we know. Since impairment is often the cause of fatal collisions in the country, investigators may review California Vehicle Code 23152. This code law prohibits driving under the influence of any alcoholic beverages and at a blood alcohol level or 0.08% or more.

If one of the drivers had an addiction to drugs while causing the fatal collision, investigators will likely review California Vehicle Code, 23152 (c) which prohibits drivers that are addicted to drugs to operate a vehicle. However, it is important to note that this law does not involve drivers who are participating in a narcotic treatment program.

When a driver disobeys certain road requirements it can endanger those around them as well as themselves. If that was the case, investigators may review California Vehicle Code 21657 to which it requires drivers to drive in one lane in the same direction if traffic authorities require that.

    Advice to the Family Affected

If your loved one was affected in this collision, reaching out to loved ones for mental support is important while dealing with a tragic collision. If you are planning to file a wrongful death claim, contact an attorney that has experience in handling car accident cases  because they can help you with any questions you may have in your legal process.
