(Colorado Springs, Colorado) A Toyota Sedan Strikes a Chevy Sedan causing two fatal deaths on Marksheffel Road, just south of East Gate Street.
Colorado Springs Police Department received reports in regards to a two vehicle crash on Monday at around 1:45 a.m. Both Officers and medical personnel reported to the scene. When Officials arrived at the scene, they found two sedans involved in the two vehicle crash.
According to Preliminary Investigations, the Toyota vehicle was traveling on Marksheffel road when it failed to follow the curve leading to the vehicle to go on the northbound lane. The vehicle then hit the Chevy sedan that was traveling northbound. Two occupants in the Toyota have been pronounced dead.
Two occupants in the Chevy vehicle were sent to a hospital and are in life-threatening injuries.

Because the driver failed to make a curve, investigators may want to determine if the vehicle had any technical issues. For the second offense that occurred within 24 months, is a $150 fine with a 3 license suspension points. If a third offense occurs within 24 offenses, it is a 250 dollar fine with a 4 license suspension points. These penalties can define why the driver failed to drive in a curve that led to striking a chevy sedan vehicle.
