(Santa Monica (10) Freeway, California) A pedestrian was hit and killed today by a pick-up driver on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway.
California Highway Patrol received reports of the fatal collision at around 3:59 a.m., on the westbound (10) freeway.
Following the crash, Two middle lanes were shut down. By 5:30 a.m., one lane was closed down. The personnel from the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office picked up the pedestrian’s body.
California Highway Patrol reported that all lanes are now open.

If the pick-up truck left the scene, investigators may review the California Code VEH 20001. This code law requires drivers to stay on the scene and fulfill the requirements of 20003 and 20004. Based on the (b)the individual may be imprisoned in a state prison or fined.
