(Riverside (91) Freeway, California) On September 18th, Eddie Chavarria IV, 48, attempted to cross Riverside (91) Freeway when a Honda HRV struck him on eastbound 91.
According to officer Javier Navarro, Chavarria was driving a Dodge Ram 1500 in the toll lanes when his vehicle stopped working. He then parked his vehicle in the NO. 2 toll lanes, exited his vehicle and ran onto the fast lane of the mainline freeway, only leading him to get struck by a Honda. Navarro also states that another vehicle, a Honda Accord also subsequently ran over Chavarria and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both drivers that struck him were not hurt, neither intoxication were suspected in both drivers and the sobriety of Chavarria is currently pending.
Legal Analysis on the Riverside (91) Freeway Accident
Because Eddie Chavarria ran onto the fast lane, that has led him to get struck by multiple vehicles.
