(Long Beach, California) On July 23rd, William Gallagher dies two days after Long Beach Transit bus Struck him. The incident occurred on 400 of Block Gold Shore at around 1:05 P.M. His Identification was made available today after his tragic passing.
Long Beach Police Department confirmed that the Long Beach Transit bus struck Gallagher while crossing the street when the it was making a left turn. Long Beach Fire Department Paramedics took Gallagher to the hospital but died on July 23rd.
Police believes that distraction and impairment was not the cause of the collision, neither was the speed of bus.

It states that drivers of a commercial motor vehicle can not have 0.04 percent or more, by weight, in blood. But police believes no impairment took place that William Gallagher died from.
(15210) Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Program law states that commercial motor vehicles such as the Long Beach Transit bus is prohibited from using electronic wireless communication device to send, write or read text messages.
