(San Diego, CA) A pedestrian suffered serious injuries in a Camino Del Rio West crash in the Midway-area of San Diego.
On Sunday, August 10, a little after noon, the incident occurred. According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened in the 3800 block of Camino del Rio West.
When police investigated, they learned a 69-year-old man crossed Camino Del Rio West. At that moment, a Jeep Wrangler, driven by a 34-year-old man, struck the pedestrian. By the time police arrived at the Camino Del Rio West crash site, they found the victim with serious injuries. Paramedics arrived shortly after and transported the pedestrian to a hospital. According to the police, they sustained a fractured pelvis and an open fracture to the right leg.
