The family of the former correctional counselor of the California Youth Authority is in search of the involved driver that struck Batani-Khalfani near the intersection of 69th Street and Central Avenue around 8:45 p.m. last Wednesday.

His daughter, D’lxara Batani-Khalfani told NBC4 during his vigil this Tuesday, “Whoever has any information, any details, do not hide it. What if this was your family? What if this was your father? Your mother, whoever?”

Currently, the description of the driver and vehicle is unknown.
