    Las Vegas Roll-over Crash Killing Two People Is Under Investigation

    investigation taking place of a rollover crash that occurred in Las Vegas. 2 people died on scene while one had to be airlifted to a hospital.

    (Las Vegas, Nevada) According to Nevada State Police, troopers are investigating the cause of the Las Vegas roll-over crash that killed two people and injured one person.

    Nevada State Police state that the crash occurred on State Route 163, Laughlin Highway, at mile marker 7 on Sunday. The rolled over vehicle was an SUV. Preliminary investigation confirmed two male individuals died on scene. One in critical conditions, had to be airlifted to a hospital. 

    The eastbound lanes to Laughlin Highway at mile mark 7,  is currently shut down. State 163 at US-95 will also get shut-down. The westbound travel lane of Laughlin Highway will remain open.

    If the cause of the collision was from an hit-and-run, investigators may review NRS 484E.010 Duty to stop at the scene of a crash involving death or personal injury; penalty. NRS 484E.010 (1) of this code discusses that one must stop at the scene or close by and return back to the scene in a vehicle crash involving death or injury. If a person violates this law, they may be guilty of a category B felony and should be charged with imprisonment in a state prison for at least two years with a maximum of 20 years and a fine of at least 2,000 dollars to 5,000. 

    Investigators may review 484E.030 Duty to give information and render aid; report if no police officer present; Penalty. 484E.030 (A) when it comes to a driver injuring an individual or causing death, damaging a property or vehicle, the driver must give their name, address, registration plate, license number of the driver’s vehicle to the injured individual, the driver, occupant, or a person that’s responsible for the damage of the property. 484E.030 (B) also discusses whether you are required to do the same to a police officer at the scene or an officer that is investigating the collision. Both of these code laws can help investigators determine penalties of the Las Vegas roll-over crash.
