(405 Freeway, California) One person was pronounced death in the 405 freeway in Sepulveda near Getty Center Drive on Monday.

After 2:30 p.m., reports were made in interstate Highway 405 N & Getty Center of a five vehicle collision resulting in Fire trucks and paramedics to arrive to the scene. One person with minor injuries received assessment from paramedics.

The Northbound traffic was impacted while investigation and clean-up were at the scene, and by 6:30, all northbound lanes reopened while investigation still continuing

If the driver fled the scene, then California Code, VEH 20001(a) was violated. The following violations in this code is the possibility of getting Imprisonment in a state prison or county jail for at least a year, get fined $1,000 to $10,000 or get imprisoned and fined. 

California Code, VEH 20001(2) If an individual was involved in a fatal crash or injured another person other than themselves that caused permanent, serious injury or violated California Code, VEH 20001 (a) should be imprisoned in a state prison for 2,3,4 years. An individual can also stay in a county jail for at least 90 days. 

If a driver was under the influence of alcohol, investigators may review California Code, VEH 23152. California Code, VEH  23152 (a) states that it is unlawful to drive under the influence of any alcoholic beverages. Investigators may also review California Code, VEH 23152 (b) which prohibits driving under the influence of BAC of 0.08% or more, by weight, of alcohol.
