Analysis on 55th Avenue and Van Buren
If speed was a faction in the collision, investigators may review code law 28-701 Reasonable and Prudent speed. This code discusses legal speeds on roads and highways. Investigators may have taken a look 28-701 (1) (2) (3). These specific codes are about reducing the speed that is appropriate to weather, is reasonable, prudent, under conditions in regard to actual, and possible hazards, then existing. Some of the following conditions are (1) “Approaching and crossing an intersection or railroad crossing.” (2) “Approaching and going around a curve” and (3) “Approaching a hillcrest.“
Investigators may have reviewed 28-904 Driving on sidewalk (A). This code prohibits drivers to drive on sidewalks except on a permanent or when duly authorizes temporary driveway. The only vehicles allowed on sidewalks as stated in (B) is ” motorized wheelchair, electric personal assistive mobility device, personal mobile cargo carrying device, authorized emergency vehicle, security vehicle owned by this state or small service vehicle owned by this state or a political subdivision of this state.” Investigators may find this helpful because this code is straightforward on prohibiting drivers on sidewalks. The driver following the violation may have caused the car crash that killed a woman and injured the man.
