Palm Desert, CA (October 26, 2023) Two separate collisions on Interstate 10 in Palm Desert occurred on Thursday morning, October 26th, according to the California Highway Patrol. Both collisions caused traffic to slow in both directions and even come to a complete stop on parts of the freeway.
The collisions occurred near Cook Street and Washington Street and reports indicate that traffic was backed up for more than a mile in both east and west directions.
The California Highway Patrol received the call for the first accident around 7:40 a.m. Upon arrival they found a Toyota Prius and a pickup truck. Both vehicles sustained damage in the collision and debris covered the roadway.

A second collision involved a Chevy Malibu and a pickup truck that occurred at almost exactly the same time as the first accident.
Paramedics arrived at both scenes to help anyone who was injured, but the California Highway Patrol reported that there were no injuries while they were at the crash sites.
