(Los Angeles, CA) Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the driver involved in a 20th Street hit-and-run that left a 64-year-old bicyclist seriously injured earlier this year in the Pico-Union neighborhood.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the collision occurred around 3:15 a.m. on May 28. The man was crossing 20th Street in a marked crosswalk while riding south on Hoover Street. At the same time, a white sedan made a left turn from northbound Hoover onto westbound 20th Street. At that moment, the sedan struck the cyclist and continued driving toward the Interstate 10 west on-ramp.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the victim to a nearby hospital. He was treated for severe injuries upon arrival.
