(Los Angeles, CA) A 57-year-old man was killed early Sunday morning, October 19, in an Arleta Avenue hit-and-run after being struck by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. near Arleta Avenue and Wentworth Street. Upon investigation, authorities learned a silver Honda Civic traveled northbound on Arleta. At some point, they struck the pedestrian and continued driving without stopping. When Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived, they transported the victim to a nearby hospital. (Rosemead, CA) A pedestrian identified as Aric Verador Mesina, 30, was killed early Sunday morning, October 19, in a San Bernardino Freeway collision, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash occurred around 5:55 a.m. on the eastbound 10 Freeway, just west of Rosemead Boulevard. CHP officials said Mesina walked on the freeway. (Compton, CA) A pedestrian was killed early Wednesday morning, October 15, in a Las Hermanas Street crash after being struck by a vehicle at an intersection in Compton, authorities said. The California Highway Patrol reported that the collision occurred around 6 a.m. at East Las Hermanas Street and Santa Fe Avenue. Paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived shortly after and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
