(Compton, CA) A pedestrian was killed early Wednesday morning, October 15, in a Las Hermanas Street crash after being struck by a vehicle at an intersection in Compton, authorities said. The California Highway Patrol reported that the collision occurred around 6 a.m. at East Las Hermanas Street and Santa Fe Avenue. Paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived shortly after and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. (Lamont, CA) A man killed in a hit-and-run South H Street collision earlier this month has been identified as Zacarias Ecahua Chipahua of Lamont, 26, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office. The crash occurred around 5:18 a.m. on October 2 at the intersection of South H Street and Houghton Road, the California Highway Patrol said. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the collision occurred around 3:15 a.m. on May 28. The man was crossing 20th Street in a marked crosswalk while riding south on Hoover Street.
