On Wednesday, April 23, the Bakersfield Police Department received emergency calls regarding a hit-and-run incident on the 4200 block of Chester Avenue, not far from the Chester Avenue bridge. At approximately 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, the La Mesa Police Department responded to an RV crash that occurred near the intersection of Pasadena Avenue and Spring Street. At around 12:30 p.m. Saturday, a passerby notified Irvine Police Department regarding a single-car crash at Irvine Center Drive and Protocol. At around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, Orange County police reported the U-Haul truck incident occurred at the corner of Lincoln and Palm Avenues. Around 5:00 p.m. Monday, Officer Jonathan Torrez said a motorist reported a single-car crash on Mount Edna Road near Highway 243. The California Highway Patrol reported Cheryl Brault, 71, drove a 1998 Grand Jeep Cherokee at the time of the accident. April 16, 2025 (Santa Monica, CA) A pit bull killed the Christopher Deitrick’s toy poodle and bit the owner in Santa Monica. At around 5:30 p.m., Santa Monica Police Department reported the dog attack occurred near Main and Strand Streets. The gray-and-white pit bull killed Dublin, the 11-year-old toy poodle, and bit Christopher Deitrick, one of Dublin’s owners. At midnight on Tuesday, Glendale authorities reported the crash near the intersection of South-Central Avenue and West Colorado Boulevard near the Glendale Galleria.
