A bicyclist was riding through the intersection of Stockton Boulevard and Massie Court when they were struck by a vehicle, according to reports. The impact knocked the rider from the bike, causing a hard landing on the roadway.
Officers arrived at the scene and found the bicyclist on the ground with injuries. The bicycle had been bent and damaged in that accident and laid several feet from the rider, on the ground. Paramedics carefully loaded the victim into an ambulance and transported them to a hospital in the area.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was questioned by officers. Investigators are working to determine what caused this accident in Florin, as well as who was responsible. The bicycle was removed from the scene, following the initial investigation.
