Ceres, CA (July 25, 2024) Traffic was greatly affected by a two-vehicle collision in Ceres on Monday afternoon, July 22nd. The collision left one person with injuries, according to reports. It all happened around 4:00 p.m. at the intersection of Service Road and Ustick Road.
Two vehicles approached the intersection of Service Road and Ustick Road at the same time, according to reports. For reasons that remain unknown, the two vehicle collided in the middle of the intersection. A loud crash echoed through the surrounding area and debris was thrown in every direction. The two vehicles came to a stop in the middle of the intersection and waited for authorities to arrive at the scene, reports indicated.
Emergency personnel with the California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene and found the two damaged vehicles in the middle of the Ceres intersection. Officers checked both vehicles and found one person with significant injuries, according to reports. Paramedics at the scene quickly evaluated the victim before loading them into an ambulance and taking them to a local hospital for undisclosed injuries.
Detectives at the scene began gathering evidence and took statements from not only those involved, but also from witnesses. They are working as quickly and efficiently as they can to determine what caused this accident at a Ceres intersection. They are also determined to figure out who was responsible. Once the investigation of the scene was complete, officers requested a tow truck to come and remove at least one of the vehicles from the scene. Debris and glass was then cleaned up at the scene so traffic could resume through the intersection, reports indicated.
