Hayward, CA (November 6, 2023) – At least one person required medical attention on Sunday, November 5th, following a serious SUV crash on Interstate 880 in Hayward, California. Police reports indicate that the collision occurred around 10:24 a.m. on the A Street overpass near the Winton Avenue off ramp.
According to the CHP a black truck and a gray Mercedes SUV collided on the south bound side of 880, with the crashed vehicles coming to a rest in the No. 1 lane. Reports indicate that debris spread across the lane and that people were seen outside their vehicles when police arrived.

At least on individual sustained injuries in the crash, with an occupant from the Mercedes SUV requesting medical assistance. Paramedics were called to the scene where they located the injured party and provided aid. It is unknown if they were transported to the hospital. Towing services were contacted to help clear the cars and restore traffic flow.
