San Diego, CA (October 29, 2023) A woman was struck and injured by a Volkswagen Bug on Saturday night, October 28th, according to the San Diego Police Department. The accident occurred at approximately 10:00 p.m. in the Pacific Beach community of San Diego.
The woman was walking west against the traffic light as she crossed Mission Boulevard at Thomas Avenue. At the same time, a 2013 Volkswagen Bug was traveling south in the No. 1 lane of Mission Boulevard, according to the San Diego Police Department. The VW Bug struck the woman as she crossed the intersection in the dark.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene within minutes and found the pedestrian in the roadway. Paramedics arrived ready to assist the injured woman who sustained a brain bleed and a fractured skull in the accident. The woman was rushed to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police officers.
