(Coronado, California) A man who died in the Coronado motorcycle crash last week near Silver Strand State Beach was identified as Corbin McKinney,25, of San Diego.
According to the Coronado Police Department, on September 16th officers received reports in regard to the collision that occurred at Silver Strand Boulevard just before 11:30 p.m. The collision occurred when McKinney was traveling to the south on state Route 75, just north of Rainbow Drive.
McKinney was taken to the UCSD Medical Center in Hillcrest by paramedics where he was pronounced dead and an investigation took place at the scene on what had caused the crash and if alcohol and drugs played a factor in the collision.
Due to the collision, all southbound lanes were temporarily closed in Silver Stand Boulevard between Hooper Boulevard and Rainbow Drive with only one northbound lane of Silver Strand Boulevard remained open.
The other motorcyclist was hospitalized for his critical injuries.

Under California Vehicle Code 23536 (b) if one is imprisoned in a county jail under subdivision (a), they may be imprisoned on days they may normally work in, for example, Saturdays and Sundays.
