(Apple Valley, CA) A collision was reported at around 11:45 P.M on Wednesday, July 29th, Santa Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department confirmed. A report made on Valley Road and Yucca Loma Road Intersection involved three vehicles, a 2015 Dodge Caravan, 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan, and a 2019 Toyota Highlander.
Forty-three year old Hesperia man, driving a Dodge Caravan vehicle, ran a red light. He hit a Volkswagen, broadside of the vehicle while going into number 2 lane, eastbound of Yuca Loma. The Volkswagen then hit the 2019 Toyota Highlander, which was traveling eastbound in the 1 lane.
The Volkswagen included one female adult, two juveniles, all three pronounced dead on the scene after the collision. The two passengers in the vehicle were severely injured and taken to a local hospital. The Hesperia man was also severely injured and taken to a hospital. The Toyota Highlander was treated by the AMR personnel.
A family member of the three deceased victims of the Volkswagen, created a GoFundMe under the name of Veronica Valenzuela. The GoFundMe is to financially cover the cost of the funeral and memory expenses. The donations will also cover the financial burden for Tedi’s long time partner, Felix, father of the two children, and surviving family member, Elizabeth.
