      Semi-Truck Collided With SUV In Fontana, One Injured

      Fontana, CA (October 21, 2024) Traffic was snarled at one Fontana intersection, following a collision between a semi-truck and an SUV on Monday, October 21st. The collision took place at the intersection of Beech Avenue and Arrow Boulevard, around 9:35 a.m., according to reports. One person became trapped and sustained significant injuries in the accident.

      Initial reports indicated that the semi-truck and a black Nissan Pathfinder SUV collided for reasons unknown at the intersection of Beech Avenue and Arrow Boulevard in Fontana. The impact caused the Nissan to become pinned between the semi-truck and pole. The woman inside the SUV became trapped inside the vehicle, according to reports. The vehicles blocked the intersection and caused traffic issues in the area, as well.

      The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene and quickly made their way to the Nissan. They found the woman trapped inside and used specialized tools to free the victim. She was placed on a stretcher and loaded into an ambulance. Paramedics took her to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.

      Officers began investigating the collision and are determined to uncover what caused this two-vehicle accident in Fontana. Following the initial investigation, tow trucks arrived to remove both the SUV and the semi-truck. Reports indicated that both vehicles were no longer drivable, following the accident. Crews worked to remove the pieces of debris and bits of glass from the roadway as quickly as they could.
