HIGHLAND, CA (JULY 25, 2023): A driver was struck and killed by a tow truck while driving northbound on State Road 330 in Highland Saturday morning. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Ford F-350 flatbed tow truck was driving southbound when it suddenly veered into the northbound side of the road, striking a Mazda. The driver of the Mazda was fatally injured.

Authorities are still unsure how or why the tow truck traversed onto the wrong side of the road. The identity of the deceased remains confidential.
