Carson, CA (July 25, 2024) A terrible collision occurred in Carson in the evening of Wednesday, July 24.
California Highway Patrol reported that around 9:32 p.m., a woman attempted to run across the northbound Harbor freeway, also known as the 110.
Tragically, a semi-tractor-trailer struck the woman as she ran across the road. When CHP reported to the scene, they found her lying in the middle lanes of the freeway.
The driver who struck the woman remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers’ investigation.
Update (July 26): The woman has been identified as Rebecca Elena Chavez, 42.
