Suddenly, the pedestrian attempted to cross the freeway and was struck by a vehicle that was driving north on I-5. The force sent the pedestrian flying several yards before landing on the ground with a thud. However, instead of sticking around, as the law requires, the vehicle fled the scene.

California Highway Patrol officers arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian on the ground with fatal injuries. Sadly, they pronounced the victim dead at the scene and requested a coroner. Officers are working to find the vehicle responsible for this pedestrian accident.
