Garden Grove, CA (July 18, 2024) A fatal collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian took place in Garden Grove on the evening of Wednesday, July 17.
At about 11:16 p.m., Garden Grove Police Department was dispatched to the scene located at the 14300 block of Brookhurst Street. Upon arrival, they found a male pedestrian lying in the road and a gray 2022 Toyota Sienna in a parking lot close by.
Tragically, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Toyota remained and cooperated with officers and the investigation.
Police reported that they do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in this collision. The circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Garden Grove Police Department.
