(Corona, California) On September 22nd, 4-year-old boy Nathan Paez was killed after a vehicle struck him in the 1400 block of Pleasant View Avenue, near Smith Avenue and south of the Riverside (91) Freeway.
According to the Corona Police Department, a vehicle traveling eastbound with an unknown speed struck the child at 2:35 p.m. The relatives of the child were busy “attending to a vehicle parked along the street” when the child went onto the narrow two-lane corridor. The driver stopped after striking the child and witnesses called 911. Paez was taken to the hospital where he died less than an hour later.
Investigation continued on September 25th and police believe impairment did not play a factor.
