El Sobrante, CA (September 14, 2023) A motorcyclist died on Thursday morning after colliding with a pickup. California Highway Patrol said the pickup pulled out in front of the motorcycle and they collided around 6:15 a.m.

The crash happened on San Pablo Dam Road near Terri Ann Court, according to Officer Adam Lane, California Highway Patrol Spokesperson. A Ford pickup pulled onto the road right in front of the Suzuki motorcycle. There was no way the motorcyclist could stop and they couldn’t go around. The motorcycle slammed into the side of the Ford pickup and the rider was thrown.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford was injured and taken to a local hospital for treatment. A tow truck arrived and removed the wrecked motorcycle from the roadway.
