(South Los Angeles, California) Karen Bass has announced a $50,000 reward in regard to the hit-and-run driver that struck Akil Saud Batani-Khalfani.
The death of Akil Saud Batani-Khalfani has affected the Los Angeles community and his loved ones. He was a community advocate and community historian. On the official Website of Los Angeles, Karen Bass quotes “My office has been in communication with Mr. Batani-Khalfani’s family and have connected them to services.
“We are working to determine what additional safety measures needed near Central Avenue and 69th Street.
The LAPD’s Central Traffic Division is currently investigating the fatal collision while seeking information of the driver and vehicle.
