Anaheim, CA (October 24, 2023) Shivam Patel, 25, a Yorba Linda resident, was arrested on Friday, October 20th, following a collision in Anaheim, according to the Anaheim Police Department. Officers said Patel was driving a Lamborghini at high speeds while under the influence and was arrested following a rollover crash that killed the passenger in his car.

The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. when Shivam Patel was driving down Santa Ana Canyon Road, just east of Lakeview Avenue, and lost control of his Lamborghini. Reports indicated that the Lamborghini rolled several times before it came to a stop not far from the 91 Freeway. Anaheim Police Department Sgt. Jon McClintock said the passenger in the car, described only as a man in his 40s, was thrown from the vehicle during the crash.
Medical personnel arrived at the scene and found that the passenger had died in the collision. Authorities pronounced the passenger dead at the scene and a coroner was called. Patel sustained only minor injuries in the rollover collision and was taken to a local hospital to receive treatment. He was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter, as well, McClintock said. A two truck was called to removed the wrecked Lamborghini from the accident site.
