(Perris, CA) 56-year old Woman, Silvia Corona, suspected for DUI is now held in custody in relation to a two vehicle collision in Perris, CA.
According to Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, deputies from Perris Sheriff’s Station received a response in regards to a two vehicle collision near Ramona Expressway and Rider Street.
When the deputies located the five injured individuals, all five were injured in one vehicle. Two of those injured were suffering from life-threatening injuries.
It was identified that Silvia Corona was the driver and sole occupant of the second vehicle.
Everyone involved in the incident were taken to the hospital to get treated. One of the two juvenile victims died was pronounced dead at the hospital while the other individual is in critical injuries.
Silvia Corona was arrested and was booked at the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center due to the suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter. The suspicion was due to driving under the influence of alcohol and intoxicated.

Investigators of this case may have reviewed Offenses Involving Alcohol and Drugs (23152)(a) which states that it is unlawful to be under the influence of any alcoholic beverages to drive. This is most likely what the 56-year old violated due to the suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol.
