LOS ANGELES, CA (AUGUST 27, 2023): A 17-year-old boy was killed in a two-vehicle collision early Sunday morning in the West Adams community of South Los Angeles.
The crash occurred at around 1 a.m. in in the area of West Adams Boulevard and Arlington Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department reports.

Authorities indicate that a vehicle traveling eastbound on Adams collided with a vehicle traveling southbound on Arlington for reasons yet unknown. Both vehicles consequently struck a wall east of Arlington Avenue. The occupants in the eastbound vehicle–two females and a male–fled the scene of the collision on foot.
The 17-year-old boy driving the southbound vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in his vehicle, a 20-year-old woman, was rushed to the hospital. Her condition remains unknown.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of this collision on West Adams Boulevard and Arlington Avenue.
