(Santa Ana, CA) A collision with a police patrol vehicle injured both the officer and the other driver in Santa Ana.
On Saturday, May 3 at about 12:30 a.m., the Santa Ana Police Department learned of the Sullivan Street crash. The LAPD watch commander informed the two-vehicle collision occurred on Sullivan and First Streets.
When authorities investigated, they learned the collision involved a police officer in his patrol SUV and a civilian car. The SUV rolled over during the crash, injuring both the officer and the driver of the car.
When first responders arrived, they treated both victims at the scene of the Sullivan Street crash. Paramedics took the officer to a hospital for further treatment, while the treating the driver of the other car on site.
