East Hollywood, CA (November 1, 2023) – A rider tragically lost their life on Sunday, October 29th, following a disastrous scooter accident on Western Avenue in East Hollywood, California. According to news source, KTLA, the accident took place just before 2:30 a.m. just north of Sierra Vista Avenue.
According to Reports from the Los Angeles Police Department, the accident began when a black sedan heading north on Western Avenue and a man riding a Lime scooter collided. The scooter rider was thrown from his scooter and landed in the road where, unfortunately, he was hit again by a silver Lexus. The Lexus driver stopped to assist the man and contact authorities for help. However the driver of the black sedan, suspected to be a early 2000’s model Mitsubishi Eclipse, fled the scene.

Paramedics were quickly dispatched to the scene, where they found the victim severely injured but still alive. He was transported to the hospital immediately but he later passed away from his injuries.
Police are urgently investigating the scooter accident on Western Avenue. They are looking for anyone who may have further information about the accident or the driver of the black sedan.
