Santa Clarita, CA (July 29, 2024) A collision involving multiple vehicles occurred in Santa Clarita on Friday morning. The accident sent an Audi rolling before it came to a stop on its roof, officers reported. It all happened on the 14 Freeway, not far from Placerita Canyon Road, right around 10:15 a.m.
Traffic was heavy on Friday morning, July 26th, as vehicles made their way to destinations. For reasons that remain unknown, several vehicles collided on the southbound 14 Freeway. An Audi that was involved in the collision overturned during the crash and one person inside the vehicle became trapped. The number of vehicles involved isn’t known at this time, but officers reported that they blocked lanes of the freeway, causing traffic hazards.

Emergency responders hurried to the scene and found the vehicles, damaged, on the freeway. The Audi was completely destroyed and officers hurried to see if anyone inside needed medical attention. They found one person trapped inside the vehicle and worked as quickly as they could to free the victim. Paramedics arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital to receive treatment.
Officers are still working on this case to try and figure out what exactly happened that summer morning on the 14 Freeway in Santa Clarita. They are also determined to uncover who was at fault in this multi-vehicle crash. Tow trucks made their way to the scene and hauled off badly damaged vehicles and crews worked to clear the glass and debris from the freeway, reports indicated.
