El Cajon, CA (October 10, 2023) – At least two individuals were severely injured on Monday, October 9th, in a hit-and-run on Lamar Street in El Cajon. The accident was reported around 10:34 p.m. near the 8708 address.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash and received severe damage. One individual was found injured on the ground post-crash. The driver of the other vehicle was severely injured but according to witnesses was seen fleeing the scene in a silver Nissan. The driver was described as a Hispanic male adult.

Paramedics responded to assist the injured party found on the roadway. Residents also reported smelling leaking gas after the crash prompting a response from San Diego Gas & Electric.
Police are investigating the hit-and-run on Lamar Street and are looking for any information about the other party involved.
