San Diego, CA (June 28, 2024)
A crash involving three vehicles happened early this morning leaving one dead and two seriously injured. It occurred in Manzanita, a community near Boulevard.
It was about 1 a.m. when authorities in San Diego were alerted to a terrible crash. They were dispatched to Old Highway 80 and Tierra Del Sol Road. Upon investigation, California Highway Patrol found that a woman was driving a blue car when she crashed head-on with a pickup truck. When she exited her vehicle after the crash, a Honda CR-V struck her. When paramedics arrived, they pronounced her dead at the scene.
The driver and the passenger of the truck had to be cut out of the vehicle by emergency personnel. Though they are thankfully alive, they had to be airlifted to local hospitals with serious injuries. As for the driver of the SUV, they also had to be taken to a hospital. The conditions of these victims are not known at this time.
Update: The woman who passed away was named Dora Valencia Magana. Two occupants in the pickup truck who were hospitalized lost their lives. One other occupant of the pickup truck was hospitalized, but they survived.
