(Long Beach, California) An unidentified male bicyclist dies in a crash on the 710 Freeway in East Los Angeles.
California Highway Patrol confirmed the report of the collision was made at around 3:20 a.m. It occurred the southbound Long Beach freeway, north of Floral Drive. Officer Elizebeth Kravig told City News Service that one person was pronounced deceased on scene, and at least one vehicle was involved.
ABC7 reported that a bicyclist and vehicle had collided.
Due to investigations, California Highway Patrol closed southbound lanes, No. 2 and No. 3. The lanes are south of San Bernardino (10) freeway. Lane 2 was re-opened and roadways are now clear.
As required, the vehicle that hit the bicyclist stopped.
An officer confirmed that the male bicyclist died on scene.
