San Jacinto, CA (October 22, 2023) 32-year-old Luis Ramirez from Hemet was killed on October 19th in a collision on the Ramona Expressway in San Jacinto. The Riverside Sheriff’s Department said the fatal accident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m., west of Warren Road.

Sgt. Patrick Lynch stated that Ramirez was traveling at a high rate of speed in an SUV when he suddenly came upon a minivan in front of him. Ramirez couldn’t stop or react in time and ended up crashing into the back of the minivan. The collision caused both vehicles to go off the road, according to Lynch. The SUV that Ramirez was driving rolled at least once on the shoulder, throwing Ramirez from the vehicle.
Paramedics arrived at the scene within minutes and pronounced Ramirez dead at the scene. The driver of the minivan was uninjured in this collision.
