Rialto, CA (October 11, 2023) – 65 year-old Laguna Hills resident, Leopoldo Padilla Mondragon, was tragically killed on Saturday, October 7th, in a hit-and-run on Riverside Avenue in Rialto. The accident occurred around 7 p.m. near Santa Ana Avenue.
Mondragon had been riding a bicycle in the second lane of Riverside Avenue, when he was struck from behind by a car. Mondragon was knocked to the ground and seriously injured. Despite life saving efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities suspect that 46 year-old Santos Lopez-Rosales is responsible for the collision. They believe he was driving a Hyundai sedan at the time of the incident. Police have issued an arrest warrant for Santos.
The police are hoping to find the man responsible for the death of Leopoldo Mondragon.
