Opinion on Meadowood and Yale Avenue

Investigators may want to understand who caused the accident so they may view California Code, VEH 21950 (a).  “The driver of a vehicle shall yield the right-of-way to a pedestrian crossing the roadway within any marked crosswalk or within any unmarked crosswalk at an intersection, except as otherwise provided in this chapter.”

This is an important specific section code that investigators may want to view. It tells us exactly who would be in the wrong in regards to the driver yielding to pedestrians in unmarked/marked cross-walks. If a driver did not follow that rule they may have violated this rule. Which shows that the driver may violate this law

(B)  It is prohibited for pedestrians to suddenly leave a curb or other locations in regards to safety. It is also prohibited to run into a path of a vehicle that is close enough to cause immediate hazard. Pedestrians are also prohibited from disturbing traffic by unnecessarily stopping or delaying traffic while in a marked/unmarked crosswalk.

(C) When it comes to the driver approaching a pedestrian in any marked or unmarked crosswalk should still care and reduce their vehicle. Take action as necessary in regards to the operation of their vehicle to provide safety for pedestrians.
