Analysis on North Drive Indian Canyon Drive and Teagarden Drive

Speed can be a big factor in this collision. High speed comes with high injuries including fatal ones. Because the rider of the motorcycle was ejected out of his vehicle, speed could be the cause due to causing forced pressure as well.

If that is the case in this incident, investigators may review the Speed Laws (22350). This law discusses that no person should drive a speed higher than reasonable or prudent due to regard of weather, visibility, traffic on, surface and width of highway, a speed that can put others in danger and property.

Investigators may want to review whether the driver was equipped to operate a vehicle if they have any eyesight issues. In California under code law, Issuance and Renewal of License 12805(1) the department are not allowed to issue a driver license or renew a driver license whose best visual acuity is at a 20/200 or worse in that person’s better eye that is verified by the optometrist or ophthalmologist. No one is allowed to even use a bioptic telescopic or similar lens in order to meet the 20/200 visual acuity standards. This may be the cause of the two vehicle crash.
