Fresno County, CA (June 26, 2024) A sad accident occurred early this morning leaving one person in the hospital and one person deceased.
A little after 4 a.m., a man travelling on Shaw in a Hyundai swerved into oncoming traffic. He crashed head-on with a pickup truck that was travelling east.
The impact was fatal. The driver of the Hyundai was pronounced dead.
The driver of the pickup truck thankfully survived the terrifying collision, but they did suffer injuries. They were taken to the hospital for treatment. It’s not currently clear what condition they are in.
Police closed the roads between Chateau Fresno and Monroe to investigate. As of the latest report, we do not know if impaired driving was a factor in this crash. Details are still emerging as authorities try to figure out what happened.
