(San Diego, CA) One person sustained serious injuries in a suspected Collwood Boulevard DUI crash in San Diego.
On Tuesday, August 5, at about 4:40 a.m., the Collwood Boulevard DUI crash occurred. According to the San Diego Police Department, it happened at the intersection of Collwood Boulevard and Montezuma Road.
When officers investigated, they learned a woman drove a black Toyota 4Runner. She ran a light, then all of a sudden, she hit another vehicle. She continued down the street, police pursuing her for a short while.
After pulling over, officers arrested the woman and her passenger for fleeing from authorities and possibly driving while under the influence. The victim from the Collwood Boulevard DUI crash sustained life-threatening injuries, paramedics transporting them to Scripps Mercy Hospital.
