(Bakersfield, CA) Julio Armando Figueroa was involved in a fatal car accident on July 26th 2026. He leaves behind his sister, wife and his four daughters. 

The DUI collision occurred Lamont where 26-year old Julio Armando Figueroa was pronounced dead after getting hit by a vehicle in Midnight on Monday on the 27th of July. 

His wife, Stacey Figueroa received the tragic news of her husband’s passing when a stranger used his phone to contact her after Stacy had previously spoken with her husband. Her mother showed her the hit-and-run accident on a video. She told ABC23 Bakersfield “She showed me the video and you just see his body covered with a yellow tarp,”.

Stacey also told ABC23 Bakersfield, stating that the loss feels harder in regards to the vehicle that struck Figueroa did not stop after hitting him, leaving him alone on the road. 

Figueroa’s sister, Victoria, created a GoFundMe to cover the expenses of cremation for his wife, Stacey.

Bakersfield California Highway Patrol suggests that if anyone knows more information on the collision, to contact their office.

 

 

Analysis on The Hit-and-Run Accident:

 

If the driver had alcohol that resulted in the collision, then she may have violated the Public Offenses law, code 23152 (a). One of the following violations states that it is unlawful for anyone to operate a vehicle under the influence of any alcohol beverages. Investigators may or have looked into this law to discuss punishments if they are able to locate the driver. 

 

Another law they may have investigated is code 23152 (d) which states one of the followings that if the driver has a percentage of 0.04 percent or higher of alcohol in their blood within the 3 hour time frame, then that would mean they were driving with that amount or higher unless proven otherwise. 

 

In code 23152 ©, it states that anyone who is addicted to any drugs can not drive a vehicle. If the driver has a present addiction to drugs that caused an impairment on the driver which resulted in killing Figuera, then that would mean they have violated this law.
