Mono County, CA (March 19, 2024)  St. Patrick’s Day turned violent for a group of motorists on Highway 395 in Mono County. A three-vehicle collision left eight people with injuries and, sadly, claimed one person’s life. The fatal accident occurred just minutes before 9:00 p.m., not too far from Rattlesnake Curve, according to officers.

A Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, a blue 2016 GMC Sierra crew cab pickup truck and a Subaru collided on Highway 395 on the evening of St. Patrick’s Day. The cause of the accident is still unknown, officers said, but investigators are looking into it so they can understand what exactly happened.

The 911 call came in and the Bridgeport Fire Department, Antelope Valley Fire Department, MWTC Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol all responded to the scene. They arrived to find glass and debris spread across the highway and three vehicles with major damage. Authorities reported that they found one person trapped inside a vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters.

We at Accident News Now offer our encouragement and support. We know this is a difficult time as you deal with the uncertainties resulting from this terrible incident. Paramedics found eight people with injuries following the crash. One person sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash and paramedics called for an air ambulance to come to the scene. The victim was placed in the helicopter and flown to a trauma center to receive treatment.

As emergency personnel searched the scene and began helping those who were injured, they found a person who had sustained fatal injuries in the collision. With heavy hearts, they pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Officers are still trying to determine what caused this three-vehicle collision in Mono County. They are also determined to find out who was at fault in this accident that injured eight people and killed one. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.

As always, our team at Accident News Now extends our deepest condolences to the family of the person who was killed in this horrible accident. We would also like to extend well wishes to the eight individuals who were injured during this crash on Highway 295.
