(Las Vegas, Nevada) 20-year-old, Tyler Newmark, dies from motorcycle crash involving a 42-year-old Tesla Model 3  driver who failed to yield to Newman causing his fatal death

According to officials of the LVMPD, the collision occurred on Hacienda Avenue and Redwood street on Saturday before 8 p.m.

Newmark was riding his 2025 Honda Rebel while traveling eastbound on Hacienda Avenue, approaching Redwood Street.  Police confirmed that the female driver of the Tesla, failed to yield to Newmark causing the tesla to drive in front of him and hit the front left side of the Tesla vehicle.

Due to the crash impact, Newmark landed on the roadway and was  transported to University Medical Hospital but died from his injuries.

A family member of Tyler Newmark created a GoFundMe stating

On September 5, 2026 our family experienced a heartbreaking and unexpected loss. Tyler one of thirteen kids, passed away after a motorcycle accident in which he was not at fault. He was taken from us far too soon, and our hearts are shattered.for sudden expenses that family will face. “ 

While the collision is currently under investigation, the GoFundMe already reached over six thousand dollars with the end goal of seven point five thousand dollars. 

Hacienda Avenue and Redwood Street Analysis

Investigators may review Motorcycle Traffic Law hand-book, helping investigators specifically identify what violation the 42-year-old driver can be charged with. Under Motorcycle Traffic Laws, motorcyclist have the right to use a complete traffic lane. 

Because Newmark was entering Redwood street and was then struck by the Tesla driver, Investigators may also review NRS 483.331 . This law prohibits drivers from driving in a lane that disrupts motorcyclist full use of the lane. 

NRS 486.341 may be reviewed which prohibits drivers from disrupting a motorcyclist occupying a lane or mopped such use. This is an important code law that may connect with this case due to the driver not giving the motorcycle the right of way by turning left. 

NRS 48.351 may also be reviewed if the Tesla driver drove with a moped. This allows you to drive with a moped except preparing to turn left, defined in subsection #5, when it’s not safe to do so, and compliance within the directions of a police officer.
