Indio, CA (October 26, 2023) 2 people were injured, 1 of whom was in critical condition, following a rollover crash in Indio, according to CalFire. The accident occurred just before noon on October 25th near the intersection of Hjorth Street and Avenue 50, according to authorities.
The collision involved two vehicles, according to CalFire, right by Mountain Vista Elementary School in Indio. The two vehicles collided for unknown reasons, and the force of the impact caused one of the vehicles to rollover.
Paramedics arrived at the scene to help anyone who was injured and found one person trapped inside the vehicle. The victim in the vehicle sustained serious injuries and had to be extricated from the vehicle. They were rushed to a local hospital in critical condition, according to CalFire.

A second person was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries from the collision. This person is expected to make a full recovery.
