Santa Maria, CA (September 28, 2023) A student was injured following a collision between a bus and a vehicle on Thursday morning in Santa Maria. The accident took place around 7:30 a.m. at Mahoney Road and Rayville Lane, according to school district spokesman Kenny Klein.

A Santa Maria Joint Union High School District Bus collided with another vehicle. One student on the bus sustained minor injuries that involved shoulder pain and was taken to Marian Regional Medical Center to be evaluated and treated.
A second bus arrived at the scene to take the remaining students to Santa Maria High School, according to Klein. Authorities are investigating this accident for cause and fault.
